Festive Cranberry Jello Salad

This versatile and festive cranberry Jello salad recipe is full of flavour and texture.  Serve it as a Thanksgiving side dish - in place of cranberry sauce - or even as a dessert!

YOU WILL NEED: Fresh cranberries Cranberry flavoured Jello* Crushed pineapple 1 Orange 1 Apple Chopped pecans Granulated sugar Salt * You can use raspberry or cherry if you can't find Cranberry.

Following the linked recipe, prepare the cranberries and zest & juice the orange. Drain the pineapple - reserving the juice - set aside.

Bring cranberries, sugar, and measured juices to a boil. Turn heat down and simmer for 2 minutes.

Remove from heat and add Jello powder, stirring until completely dissolved. Pour into a large bowl, along with the cold water.

Add chopped apple, drained pineapple, and pecans to the Jello mixture, stirring well to combine.  Chill until it starts to thicken.

Spray a Jello mold with pan spray. Pour thickened Jello mixture into the mold, then chill until set.

Shortly before serving,  carefully unmold the salad right onto the serving plate. If serving this cranberry Jello salad as a dessert, it’s excellent with whipped cream. Enjoy!
